Dr. Richard Fromm

Dr. Fromm joined Dalton Surgical Group in 1996.  He grew up in Dalton after moving from Puerto Rico in 1978.  He received his BS degree from the University of Georgia in 1987, where we was a member of the UGA football team from 1984 to 1986.  He graduated with honors from the Medical College of Georgia in 1991, and completed his surgical residency at East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine in 1996.

Dr. Fromm is Board Certified, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He maintains active memberships with the American College of Surgeons, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, American Society of General Surgeons, AOA Medical Honor society, and Medical Association of Georgia.

Dr. Fromm has special interest in Advanced Laparoscopic Procedures including Single Site Surgery (Sils), Cancer Surgery, and Endocrine Surgery.  He currently serves as Chairman of the Medical Staff at Hamilton Ambulatory Surgery Center.  He has previously served as Chief of Surgery and the Director of the Trauma Department at Hamilton Medical Center.

He is married with three children, and is an active member at First Baptist Church Dalton.  He has been elected and is currently serving on the school board for the city of Dalton.  His hobbies include spending time with his family, traveling, and playing golf.
